Background
A friend from medical school introduced Dr. Stuart Tims to Dr. Ken Tuck – the man who would become his mentor. He spent a summer shadowing Dr. Tuck in the very building where he currently practices and immediately knew that he had found his specialty.
“I wake up every day feeling fortunate that I am able to do something that I enjoy so much and that makes such a difference for people.”
Being present for the moment in a person’s life where they experience restored vision is a unique privilege and one of the many satisfying aspects of his work. It still ignites his passion today.
“I get an extra boost every single day from the positive interactions I have with my patients.”
His philosophy regarding treatment is “to listen to my patients, and to approach every problem in a stepwise, thoughtful manner to determine the best solution for each individual patient.”
Outside of work Dr. Tims is married and has three children. He loves baseball, basketball, golf, and music. He is an avid concert-goer and a pretty decent poker player.
