Dr. Bryan Strelow is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology to provide comprehensive ophthalmology and cataract surgery. After receiving his undergraduate degree in Biology at Elon University in 2012, he completed his Master of Arts from Duke University Divinity School in addition to a Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Carolina in 2016. In 2018 he completed an Internal Medicine Internship at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. Dr. Strelow completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the University of North Carolina Kittner Eye Center in Chapel Hill, NC, where he was Chief Resident and was awarded honors for Surgical Excellence.
The opportunity to work with exciting new technologies to perform complex microsurgery is one of the primary reasons he chose Ophthalmology. These rapidly advancing technologies, in the hands of well-trained eye surgeons, can be sight-restoring and sight-saving.
“That opportunity to make a difference in my patient’s lives is why I come to work each day.”
Outside of work, Dr. Strelow enjoys a wide variety of pastimes outside of work, ranging from just about anything he can participate in with his wife and children. He loves to explore new places, whether hiking a mountain or walking a city’s streets. He enjoys playing athletics from tennis to basketball. And enjoys less high-energy hobbies like tinkering with new technology or playing strategy board games.
